Wells "blew everyone away," says one attendee, with her impression of a Vine video. (She played a screaming fan at a Rihanna concert who falls and repeats the embarrassing moment again and again.) That earned her a trip to New York for an audition in front of Michaels and his trusted comedy consiglieri Steve Higgins -- best known as Fallon's Late Night announcer -- among other SNL writers and producers.
"It's a mercurial process," is how one knowledgeable source characterizes the final decision, made invariably by Michaels and his golden gut. In Milhiser's case, a spot-on impression of Jon Cryer, among other characters, was all it took to earn the show creator's approval, while Bennett won Michaels over playing a man trapped inside a baby's body.

More Kyle Mooney Clips -- Casey Killingsworth, 00:45:55 08/26/13 Mon
Kyle's "interviews" and Good Neighber sketches are pretty great, but I wanted to share with you guys some more of his actual character work just because I find these particular clips really funny.
Wonder if he'll confirm that hes been hired by SNL. I might check it out tomorrow. I've listened to a few episodes of this podcast when they've had good guests but generally I find this to be one of the less interesting Earwolf podcasts, the lady who hosts it is kinda boring.
New castmember Beck Bennett was on Doug Loves Movies back in April -- just realized this, 11:52:58 08/23/13 Fri
Actually I kinda remember this episode and even though I didn't know who this guy was at the time, I thought he was pretty funny. He was on with Pete Holmes and Paul F. Tompkins as Werner Herzog.
