Yes. Pass the word around. Don't let these scammers take u or your loved ones for a ride. Please warn everyone u know about this. Now the problem with many of us is that we are naturally greedy and impulsive. Don't succumb to the temptation. Remember, nothing is free. People must realize that going for these freebies and offers will put them in a precarious position as far as their finances are concerned. You will be spending money on something u don't need and will soon regret in a short while when u realize that it is something extraneous. As u can see in these forum, many people regret their decisions and get into a lot of trouble trying to cancel their membership, going to see CASE and seeking the services of lawyers. It is a big headache trying to get out of the grips of these is leeches when reality sets in......

Wow... thank God for the person who started this forum.

Yesterday, my bf and I were around Orchard to catch a movie. As we still had one hour before showtime, we decided to go to Heeren to kill time. As we were walking back to Orchard Cineleisure for the movie, this young secondary school gal named Geraldine, stopped us for a survey.

We did the survey as we still had time before the show. After that she got us to pick two out of a stack of scratch and win cards. Like the earlier story, we "won" a $30 Takashimaya voucher and a 8 days, 7 nights free stay at any 7 destinations. A guy, who's her supervisor came over after she notified him of our "winnings" and told us to attend a 1hr 20min presentation before we can redeem our prizes. We were lucky that our movie ended after their office closed.

However I am quite saddened by the fact that the teenagers (both supervisor and surveyor) nowadays can lie through their teeth, and without batting an eyelid. How they can actually fake an excitement, and con people into going for the talk. Even when we asked if we need to fork out anything or conditions to fulfill or is it some sort of timesharing stuff, they denied flat.

"We are just promoting travel and tourism..." came the answer. For the sake of money, these young kids would stoop to lying. Even though they may be ignorant about the scale of the scam but they definitely know that it's not a "free" thing, and that organisers are trying to sell timeshare.

Scam organisations are making use of guillible students and teaching them to smear their conscience with money. And mind you, these kids are our future. They are Singapore in coming years. What are our authorities doing to stop all these nonsense? Shouldn't our educaters be instilling the proper morals and values instead of stressing only on academic excellence in our young?

You can see that our priorities are all skewed and focus wrongly placed. It's not only about scam and money, it's also about the wrongs that we are condoning and type of society that we are grooming.
