Your consistent and I highly respect that. I try to be consistent as well though it leads to pretty much the opposite. I don't LIKE captial punishment or abortion, but I won't strike either down. (And before anyone starts in, I never said I like capital punishment, and have repeatedly said I agree that it is dark and brutal.)

As far as the practicality I completely agree, but then again I think someone who commits murder for the sake of poilitics is just trying to justify it. The whole point of politics is trying to find solutions before coming to blows, but that's a tangent. Now if he had hung them for murder?... Look at the damage they did while live. They had the hunger strike which help fueled the IRA. Sounds like a case of damned if you do and damned if you dont.
