My understanding is that Mcveigh was responding to the events at Waco, where women and children died as a result of government action. Is anyone currently on death row for their deaths? Is anyone in prison? Or is this another example of 'acceptable' state sanctioned violence?

Well said Kat, and a point I brought up earlier which has been completely ignored. The question has never been addressed, as to where and how are the laws for "ACCOUNTABILITY" enforced. Nor has any of the feverent proponents discussed with strength, forethought and validity the innocent men/women executed for crimes they did not commit.

The fact remains, that we as a society are responsible for the actions of all. To ignore that there is a flaw, that many of these acts are the result of social inequities, is by default guilty of the same crimes. Turning a blind under under the guise of retribution and revenge rings of attempting to put a band-aid on a wound that requires sutures.

I state again, that there is NO case in U.S. history that can be cited, were a prosceutor, police or goverment agencey was tried for willful murder and then executed themselves, when a MISTAKE was made.

One can certainly understand it to be a MISTAKE if only one innocent person is executed, by all means then it is that a TRAGIC MISTAKE. However, when it happens over and over and over again, it is no longer a mistake, but an obvious flaw in the mechanisims of social justice.

Of those proponents for the death penalty can either of you answer one question. If you were wrongfully arrested for murder, tried, found guilty, and then senetenced to die. Can you passionately defend the death penalty then? Will you calmly allow the execution to continue, simply because due process and due dilligence was proven in the courts? By your own admissions and arguements, you have been dutifully processed, and according to your own statements, you have no leg to stand on. So therefore, you are guilty as charged and have been found so, by a jury of your peers. Will you walk calmly the last 200 yards to your eventual death? For some reason I think your answers will be no.
