There is an interesting article on Times about Christmas gift for children. It is believed that children would rather have a toy but a nice book is still a good option as a Christmas gift. As such a choice is very nice to parents, editors have been working hard to make books of all kinds as attractive to kids as possible as it seems that November and December is the time when 40% of the books are sold each year. Those books' plots vary from fairy tales to videogame heroes, animals (which are often personified and play the main character's role) as well as kids daily routine. Having children getting in touch with reading activities enable parents as well as kids to spend more time together in order to read such books and highlight the importance of reading to the young ones.
