B) Reading task

1. The text I chose is called “T-Rex”.
2. The text is about the Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex), which was a huge dinosaur that lived on Earth 65 million years ago. Scientists don’t know much about this animal, but some researchers have found teeth marks of a T-Rex in the bones of a smaller dinosaur. These marks suggest that the T-Rex kept chewing the bones for a while. Although scientists have concluded that the T-Rex’s bite was strong enough to kill other weaker animals, the teeth marks found cannot prove whether the T-Rex actually chased and killed its preys, or it ate already killed animals.
3. I had a great performance in all the exercises (100%), except for the vocabulary exercise (75%), since I couldn’t find out the difference between a scientist and a researcher.
4. The site is a good extra means of developing beginning learners’ reading, writing and listening skills. They would be very enthusiastic while doing the exercises, since they would practice vocabulary and reading comprehension in a basic level in a funny and contextualized way. Besides, they would practice their writing skills by sending their opinions about the texts. I thought the site quite interesting.
