AMANDA DE CADENET has been dumped by THE STROKES guitarist NICK VALENSI after a huge row.

A close pal of Amanda tells me: “Amanda had been trying to sort it out but Nick doesn’t want to know. He just wants some time on his own.

“Amanda insisted on travelling everywhere with him and the band but it just got too much for them.”

The final straw came when the former wild child – now a photographer in the US – turned up with pal SOPHIE DAHL at last month’s Coachella Festival in Palm Springs, California, to try and win Nick back. He went ballistic.

The friend continues: “Nick wasn’t at all happy to see her. She followed him everywhere and there was a lot of shouting.”

The pair met at a party in LA earlier this year and she flew to London with him in February when The Strokes picked up Best International Newcomer at the Brits.

She was also spotted at the band’s Brixton Academy gig in London a month later.
