Tractor is still up on the trailer - haven't touched it for about 3 weeks. If it shows up there, it'll have the Armstrong's on it, like it has now. Been busy, and haven't thought about it much... And maybe I should go on a tangent about the NATPA rules. And the axes to grind that some people have when they make up rules, borders on incredible. When we put that chrome coil on, we didn't gain 1 hp over the yellow one. Thought the yellow one was bad, and the only thing the Marlette NAPA store had was the chrome one. That's stupid rule Number 1. And here's Stupid rule Number 2 - the replacement manifold for the Cockshutt 40's and 50's is the AC D19 manifold. THE OEM MANIFOLD IS NO LONGER MADE. William's Farm Equipment in Charlotte told me so - their computer shows the oem manifold as OBSOLETE - in other words, NO LONGER AVAILABLE...And I see that NATPA Div. 2 rules are set in stone for 3 more years. With the Div. 2 mph rule, I really don't care if they had a set of headers. Hit the horn 3 times and you're done anyway... There are probably other dumb rules in there, but I'll look some other time... Gotta yank a hazmat load to Kentucky in a few minutes, so I gotta go. If folks are thinking that's why I went off on a tangent with those folks 'cause I'm leaving out on Saturday with a load, that not it at all. I don't have to pull this load if I don't want to. The NATPA got it straight from the horse's mouth with no reservations... See ya... [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
