With all due respect to my friend Doreen, she hasn't been a "big name" since her brief tenure as mayor of Regina for one month in 1988.

And what bravery you demonstrate. Maynard, Doreen, Andrew, Clay. Lemme see. All of them narrowly elected, Doreen and Andrew in seats that, demographically, are not natural NDP territory.

If you are predicting a SaskParty win, then naturally those fall. A brave prediction would have been John Nilson or Glenn Hagel or Buckley Belanger. If those ones fell, it would mean something serious.

Of course, I recall the enthusiasm of youth. In 1982, as a 22 year old, I boldly predicted that Devine would have a one term government.

Of course, I have grown up since then -- and I don't always believe my party's clippings.

Personally, I still lean to a narrow SaskParty victory. But it won't be a sweep -- which really is a reflection on a disastrous SaskParty campaign. The NDP was ripe for the picking. The SP should have been looking at 40+ seats.
