I haven't heard anyone claiming that Melenchuk is in "big" trouble. No election is ever guaranteed, so he does have a race. And Ted Merriman is probably the best non-incumbent SaskParty candidate, but Ken McDounough is also credible enough to split the anti-NDP vote here. I think it's a toss-up (Melenchuk, Merriman and maybe McDonough) with a slight edge to Melenchuk.

I've heard that Bjornrud (how DO you Ben-Rod out of that?) is reaping what his anti-democratic party has sown here. Turfing Grant Schmidt has really pissed people off, and I hear that Belligerant Bob is running third -- and maybe even fourth. I say a toss up (Schmidt and Osika) with an edge to Schmidt.

I don't see either party breaking 24 seats under any circumstances.
