Subject: 'Sun Temple' of Abusir

A few months ago I went with Robert Bauval to see the Pyramids of Abusir on the outskirts of Cairo:

Not far away are some ruins which RB speculates may be a Sun Temple. Amongst the ruins is a large flat slab:

Closer inspection of the South side of the slab shows the nature of the stone and leaves speculation as to how this may have been cut. Here are some close up shots:
