That's at least the seconf time they tried to eliminate it. It was filled around 1972, but they didn't dump enough into it. At one point it was said that the pond was a result of a leak in the sewer system, but I think that there is natural drainage to that area.

Another piece of water quality improvement that should be done is dredging and stone filling the banks of the pond. The pond has been expanding, eating at its banks, and it has undercut at least two trees.
