Subject: Paulie's mother (related to white oleander)

hey there,

well, we all know about Tori’s fears of her parents and what she tells about her mother she’s “addicted to like chocolate”. And even Paulie is so desperate looking forward to get to know her mother. Not to forget, what Léa Pool says about the mother/daughter relationship:

“Because mothers are the most important psychological parent for their daughters, it hurts so much when a girl like Pauline totally misses her mother in “Lost and Delirious”, and has to grow up with her adoptive parents.”

recently i’ve seen the movie “white oleander”. I have to admit i’m still very impressed by this movie, and i will watch it again for sure, i even will buy the book and the DVD.

Like from L&D, i guess we all can learn a lot from this movie. And i think the character of Astrid's mother Ingrid is somewhat close to the character of Paulie’s mother in Lost and Delirious. It’s hard to explain why, if you haven’t seen the movie yet. A cooperation between the two screenwriters Judith Thompson (Lost and Delirious) and Mary Agnes Donoghue (White Oleander) could create the most fascination movie project ever: A movie about Lost and Delirious seen from another perspective, seen with the eyes of the character Paulie!!!

Here is some really good information about the White Oleander movie: http://www.writingstudio.co.za/page321.html
