This is my line, this is eternal
How did I end up here?
Discarnate, preternatural
My prayers to disappear
Absent of grace, marked as infernal
Ungranted in dead time left me disowned
To this nature, so unnatural
I remain alone

Most people stayed away from what was known as the "shady side of town" of Cascade Mountains, but Ivy Wilson was not like most people. The seventeen year old had not been since she fled from her abusive home nearly three years ago. Perhaps running away seemed like the right idea at the time, but the world proved to be harsh and unforgiving. Ivy tried nearly everything to manage on her own, and quickly had fallen into drug use. Sometimes the girl wondered if it was all worth it... Maybe so.

Every step Ivy took caused her world to spin. The past few nights had been rather rough and involved alcohol and various other drugs. The young woman used to cut herself, but she had "grown out" of that. Now it was all about numbing the pain, and alcohol could do just that. One misplaced step took Ivy's extremely slender body to the hard concrete. The teenager clumbsily gathered herself together and moved towards a brick building. Her bloody hands reached out and clawed at it - almost as if searching for some false reassurance. This would just be another night for Ivy and the darkness that had already started to close in on her.
