))She lay on the pavement silently, hidden behind a heaping dumpster and a graffitti wall. Her think blacnk sweater did little to keep her warm, but she'd salvaged a blanket from the garbage. Sure it had stains from who knows what, but hell, she was desperate. Shivering frame was wrapped in the dirty fabric, her black jeans and the black sarong over it drew taut against pale, fair skin. Her milky white orbs, only one blind, watched shadows moving on the opposite wall. Flaming orange hair stood out in the dark, and her futile attempts to hide herself didn't hinder its brightness. The skimpy blanket only covered shoulders and back; she could live with her hair showing. After all, wasn't it a safe neighbourhood?
She hummed quietly to herself, the old song of lullaby. Childish as it was, it helped her times of despair and poverty.((
