Please keep us up to date. This story is one of the strangest yet most hilarious I've read in a while.

:-)

to take my statement. Boy, these guys really take their job seriously! ;-) They scoured over Foxxie's papers, asked me a couple of basic questions, then fired up the tape recorder. "Are you giving this information freely, meaning we're not threatening to put a lien on your house if you don't answer?" "Um, yep." I give them the Readers Digest condensed version of what happened and how Mrs. Gulch came to acquire my dog. The one detective asked about 50 questions, then the other one had some follow up questions. Sheesh, all this for a flippin' DOG!
They said in case Almira decides to appeal, they have everything documented. Something tells me, she will. *sigh*

Then get this! They get up to leave and we do the handshake thing and they're out the door. I came back in the house to get my keys so I could pick up my babe from school, and I noticed a fanny pack sitting in the chair where Detective 1 was sitting. It was his flippin' revolver!!! Apparently when he sat down, he'd undid the fanny pack and when he stood up, he had forgotten it. I picked it up (heavy dayamed thing) and walked it outside where they were still sitting in their car. Detective 2 rolled down his window and I said "Ya might need this" to which D2 cracked up. "Uh, YEA, he just might."

Hopefully, Mrs. Gulch will drop this whole matter and stop wasting everyones time, but if she doesn't, I'll keep you informed, Caro.

BTW, good one about the K9, 2gud. :-)
