I talked to Michael yesterday after the bull riding and he told me that he is going to have his knee operated on this morning in Ft. Worth by Doctor Tandy. One day last week Michael was out feeding his bulls bent down to pick up Makalya and when he stood up he could straighten out his leg, and it was really painfully for him so when he was in Grand Rapids Dr. Tandy took a look at it. He is planning on riding in Columbus but, let just keep our fingers crossed and pray really hard that everything will go well. I would also like to ask everyone to pray for Justin McBride too he will also be in Ft. Worth today with Dr. Tandy for his fractured ankle. Thanks and God Bless

Michael Collins -- Robyn, 05:04:47 09/12/04 Sun [1]

Michael didn't have the best week-end in Reno, We were looking for the win but, the most important thing is that he didn't get hurt. Michael had Nasty Boy in the 1st round and got bucked off. 2nd Round Michael had Iceman and spilt 4th and 5th with an 85.5. That score was not enough to get him back to the short go for another bull. Michael did finish in the top 20 and 18th place.

Michael is in 8th place in points with 4,520.5 points and is 11th in money. And as they said last night on the event anything can happen at the Finals with all the points at are there. The best bull rider will come out on top.

Michael and Kristin are going to spent some time in Las Vegas this week and have a little down time before heading off to Laughlin. I hope that they will be safe but have a great time. Good Luck in Laughlin!

I talked to Michael yesterday, sorry that there really hasn't been a post in awhile but, not to much has been going on. But, yesterday when I talked to Michael he told me that he is going to at a Midwestern Bull Riding in Porter, OK. tomorrow (8/28/04). He will be signing autographs there and the bull Wild Bill will also be there. Michael is taking some of his bulls that he has raised to the bull riding also. HOPE THE ARE REAL BUCKERS!

Michael and Kristen are going to go to Reno and then spend sometime together in Vegas during the week and then off to Laughlin. GOOD LUCK MICHAEL! we will be praying for you guys to have a safe trip.

Michael also filled me in that the baby is taking 4 or 5 steps at a time and at the Finals to watch out that she will be up and on the go. I can't wait.

It has been brought to my attention that someone has been visting the websites of several pro bull riders for the purpose of copying the pictures, transferring them to magnets and then trying to sell them on eBay. Not only is this person stealing from the individual bull rider's websites, they are also stealing copywrited photos from the PBR website. This will not be tolerated. Action will be taken to protect the rights of the bull riders and those who's photos are being used, without permission, for profit.
Please dont buy any of these magnets!

HEY HEY HEY, MICHAEL JUST KEEPS MOVING UP!

Michael finished in 6th place in Springdale this past week-end.

In the 2nd round he bucked off Dobber but, he never gave up until he hit the ground, it was a great effort. In the short go he bucked off Honkey Cat which really bucked hard, half way though the ride he bucked off and got hung up but, I talked to Michael on Sunday night after the bull riding and other then his back being sore which it always is he was doing fine.

Michael won $2970.00 in Springdale which puts him at $74,043.12 which is 8th place in money won and moved up to 7th place with 3,992 points.

Michael, you are doing a great job this year and we all are really proud of you. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Robyn, but Robyn is the one that has been good friends with Mike and Kristen for a long time. I have gotten to know them better the past two years. I have the easy job I just built the website and Robyn keeps me updated. So its a two way job. Both of us enjoy it and hope in some small way we help keep the fans informed.

Mike has now moved to # 7 in Money with $60,919.12. He is #10 in points with a total of 2,245.5, he also has a riding percentage of 46.4% and has ridden 13/28 bulls.

Mike did really well this week-end riding Sparky in the 1st round to win $5,000.00 the Enterprize bonus and rode I-90in the 2nd round for 77.5 which also gave him another 5,000.00 and sent someone to the Finals. He bucked off Sugar Bear in the short go. He finished 9th at the event and put some more money in his pockets and some more points on the board.

Mike didn't do so well, with Husker Red but, this is another week. I know that Mike will have a good week-end in Ft. Worth. I'm not going to post who he drew because when we picked him up at the airport in Indy, He told me that he never wants to know before the event so I'm not going to post it here but, if you want to know please go to the PBR website and check it out. I want to wish Mike all the best and I would love to see a 90 point ride or better. I will be here in Ohio cheering him on and I hope that you do the same.

I just spoke with Michael he is waiting to get on the plane at LAX and he told me that he tied for 2nd and 3rd with Ross Coleman. He said he had 3 good bulls and covered all 3 of them. 1st round was Trigger Happy for 84.5, 2nd round was Out of Here for 86.5, and in the short go he covered Fireball for 85 points which gave him a total of 256 points for the event and a few dollars in his pocket. Greg Potter won the event.

For those of you that were not able to see the bull riding last night on OLN, Mike took a better hard hit after he got bucked off, I spoke with Mike last night and he is doing OK, he is really sore but, is going to be alright and that is the main thing. I was worried until I heard from him. Let's just pray for him and hope the pain goes away fast.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (January 21, 2004) - The Travel Channel will air The Wild World of Rodeo featuring a behind the scenes look at Professional Bull Riders Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.), two-time PBR world champions Adriano Moraes (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Chris Shivers (Jonesville, LA), as well as 2003 Built Ford Tough World Finals event winner Jody Newberry (Ada, Okla). The Travel Channel film crew took a look at the lifestyle of these athletes last season in Oklahoma City. The Wild World of Rodeo airs on the Travel Channel at 9:00 PM in all times zones on Friday, January 23rd and will be followed by the program Get Packing which guest stars PBR riders as well.

The show Get Packing featuring PBR bull riders Dusty LaBeth (Louisburg, KS) and Brendon Clark (Morpeth, NSW) will air on The Travel Channel on Friday, January 23rd in conjunction with The Wild World of Rodeo (check your local listings). The show is scheduled to repeat on Saturday, January 24th. Moraes Clinches the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company Challenger Tour Finals event title and Captures the 2003 Season Championship

The U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co.'s Challenger Tour Finals took place January 12-14, 2004 in Denver, CO.


DENVER, Colo. (January 14, 2004) Brazilian phenomenon Adriano Moraes is officially on a roll. Moraes, who currently resides in Keller, Texas topped D & H Cattle Company�s Mossy Oak Mudslinger for a stellar 93.5 points during final round action of the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) Challenger Tour Finals hosted by the National Western Stock Show. The event title was doubly sweet for Moraes since the $36,357 in earnings from Denver propelled him to the top spot in the final USSTC Challenger Tour standings making him the 2003 Challenger Tour Champion, and the winner of an additional $10,000 bonus awarded by U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company.

Having entered the Denver event with a commanding lead in the 2003 USSTC Challenger Tour rankings, odds were on Moraes' Brazilian counterpart, Paulo Crimber. With $61,782 in 2003 USSTC Challenger Tour earnings, Crimber appeared to have the title sewn up. Moraes had to win and win big in order to make up the $28,229 deficit separating himself from Crimber in the standings. Moraes managed to more than double his 2003 USSTC Challenger Tour earnings of $33,553 in Denver, and secured the 2003 USSTC Challenger Tour title with $69,909 in total earnings in addition to the $10,000 bonus. While the 2003 USSTC Challenger Tour Finals are held during 2004, 2003 Challenger Tour earnings combined with Challenger Tour Finals earnings are counted toward winning the overall 2003 season championship.

When asked what the secret to his recent success has been, a jubilant Moraes exclaimed, �Praying! I have to pray hard and be humble. I don�t ever want to change that. There was a time when the success that I had made me cocky, I thought I was bigger than anybody and anything � I don�t ever want to be that way again.�

In addition to the money, Moraes won two championship buckles from USSTC as the Denver champion and the year-end champion. Moraes currently leads the Built Ford Tough Series Standings and is in contention for an unprecedented third world title. Additionally he is dominating the current PBR World Finals qualifier standings with $92,595 in 2004 season earnings.

WHAT A GREAT EVENT!

There were a bunch of good rides this week-end. Mike had 3 nice rides and when I talked to him Saturday night after the event he was really happy about it. Congrats Mike!

I checked out the PBR website and it says that Mike scored an 84.5 so we are going to go with that one.

Chris won the round with an 89 points but, Adraino is right behind him with an 88.5

Chris did not cover the Mossy Oak shoot out bull whick was Huskers Red.

I talked to Mike tonight and he told me that he got stepped on the other night at the NABA event in St. Louis, the bull stepped on his neck and face and he broke a few teeth in the back and he has a really sore neck but, he is going to ride tonight in Worcester to win. I spoke with Mike this evening and he told me that he rode at a NABA event in Kansas this past week-end turning in 88 points during the long go and then 88 points in the short go to win the event. He won $1800.00 dollars and a new buckle. CONGRATS!
