Subject: Thank God, we made it back.

Well, the trip to Washington was an eventful one. Starting with a 3 hour delay because of the bus line. I could go on about the disappointments but why.

Yes, it was a most humbling, impressive trip. To stand and see the names and grave stones of men and women who died defending our country and freedom. I needed a good dose of humble pie, to bring me back to understand why this is such a great nation.

Yes, Michael, the Lincoln memorial was an unbelievable sight. To stand in front of that enormous(sp) statue, was just to awesome. To see "the wall", and the fountains, the statues. If you've never been, it's worth the trip. But I do encourage you to do it on your own, not with a tour group. As one disaster can turn into another and another.

We were able to get to President Reagans chaison. What a historic moment for us little people from Claremore, Oklahoma. One group even got to see President Bush on his way down Pennsylvania Ave.
There is so much more I could tell you, but it would take forever. The WWII memorial, what a thing of beauty, and they let you put your feet in pool/fountain. Much needed relief.
I'll write more of this never ending book later.
Go if you ever get the chance.
God bless America!
