Having been a roller fan for many years i was going to join in on the fun on this board. My teenage daughter clicked on to this link with me and i was horrified at what was on some of the messages, the bad lauguage, and what with all the bad public news recently about one of them been into child porn and another drug pushing not to mention what i read on another board about how eric treats his fans, i think i will give it a miss!

So their you have it, i could go on and just for the record Tam Paton started his own property company up after he stopped been the BCRs manager.Yes we know hes been to prison and hes on his way back their again by the looks of things,but thats what he did with his share of the money.The BCRS themselves blow it in on sex, drugs and other addictions,when you stop having hits and doing sell out tours, you live on your savings and thats where their money went.THE BAY CITY ROLLERS HAVE GONE AND THEY HAVE GONE FOREVER.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I've created a new MySpace page expressly for BCR Fans! It's a multi-purpose site: one, to give folks an easy way to sign up for the BCR Fan Database, two, a place where announcements can be posted regarding fan fests, upcoming
gigs, and any other BCR news that comes along (hint: subscribe to the blog to get these updates!) and three, a place for fans to find each other! It's still in it's embryonic stages tho - I need to pretty it up a bit!
Those of you already on my MySpace friends list should find an invite in your box soon! If not, please stop by the new site at http://www.myspace.com/baycityrollerfans and add "BCR Fans" as a friend! Don't forget to subscribe to the blog!
MySpace is a FREE site, and it's easy to register for a FREE account if you don't already have one. I've been a member since January and I haven't had any issues i.e. spam, etc. - so don't be afraid to sign up if you haven't already!! We've got a steadily growing group going on there!
Those of you on other sites/lists/message boards, please pass this around and let all the other fans know! I'll be counting on you guys as well to keep me informed about any new information (i.e. fan gatherings, gigs, etc.) that should be posted on the site! I've got a post up now with a bunch of the key BCR website/message board links - if you notice any key sites missing, please let me know!
Hopefully this will help us locate even more "new" fans in the online world!

Just thought I would say Hi-I am a 41 year-old married mother of five. My mother thought I needed therapy for my "Rollermania" back in the 70's! I dressed like them to go to school. I saved this site so she can see how many people STILL LOVE these guys. I am having the time of my life buying all the things I wanted then and she would not let me have! Today, I bought some retro Roller wrapping paper, and I am planning to send some of it to a gal in UK who wanted it as much as I did! I have been busy raising my kids and haven't really kept up like I should have. Woody was my guy-I always thought he looked like the sweet one. My sister was all about Eric. Sorry for the novel. Just added to our Fest schedule, we have Tony O'Keefe founding member of the Dublin Four, a Celtic Band based here in the U.S. Tony was a Roller fan growing up in Dublin and when he heard about Fest, he was gracious enough to offer to come and celebrate the band with us. Did anyone here read Les' book? I am surprised that no one on here is discussing it. Les was not my fav. Roller, Eric was. I have to say after reading his book I have a newfound respect for Les. Also it was VERY insightful getting a glimpse into their world in the days of Rollermania. I wish he had been able to go into more depth but possibly couldn't so as not to incur a lawsuit. If you haven't read it I really urge you to. I ordered mine thru Amazon.Uk . Now if only Eric & Woody or one of the other guys would put pen to paper & write their recollections. So glad Les decided to.
I'm 16 from Scotland and I'm new to the board. I have been a HUGE BCR fan for practically my whole life and I would love to hear from other fans since I hardly know any. I love every single member from Nobby to Duncan, but I love Ian and Pat the most. I just wanted to say hi and hope to make some friends.

Les' Book is a fantastic read. I was so sorry he had suffered so much pain one way and another and also the other guys as well. A very well written book with some great photos. Love to Les and Derek(my other fav guy), I hope life gets better and better for them

We have enough so far for 3 1/2 guys....PLEASE send in your fest fees. I need to get tickets before they get more expensive! Without your fest fees I cannot get the tickets; without the tickets I cannot bring the guys over...and that's a fact. If there's not enough to get tickets by the end of January I'm not getting them....simple as that. I'm sure you all think that "Oh I have lots of time yet", well the reality is we are working on a deadline here. PLEASE people let's get a move on! I have 40 some registrations sitting here waiting for payment..if you send payment then it would all be a done deal and we can move on to other things.
Fest fees go up on Feb. 1 to $70 ... isn't that incentive enough?

Fact is, time's a-wastin' and Marianne is doin' her dangest to get everything under way but....She ain't whistlin' Dixie when she says she needs those Fest fees to get in. She's got some of 'em but not quite enough. It's good and all that to have the registrants but everyone's gotta help 'er out a ....She's workin' on gettin' those plane tickets and everythin' paid for so those happenin' dudes can perform some serious RS music for us'uns. She cannot do it alone, plain and simple, and she's done all she can to make it easy for everyone to pay...aka PayPal. I sent mine in via money order, though.
I don't know about y'all but I'm lookin' forward to the Fest...I plan to party, tour the city, wreak mayhem and harass the RS guys and I know youse guys can relate to that goal. C'mon y'all! It's a reality, sho'nuff! Almost Party Time!
