Subject: new swimmer

My child is a fairly new swimmer, and I never knew of these controversies until today. Yes, I have been to several meets, and seen how poor the response is to calls for timers, etc. I prefer to watch, but accept that I need to contribute if child is to enjoy swimming. To hell with Olympics, carifta, CCAn, Nationals or whatever; the focus is on getting better one day at a time. If child makes some team, record, 1st place or whatever, then good, but these things are only an end. this is the first sport that the bloody kid enjoys, so lets focus on the swimming. For those annoyed with the rules, do something about them. For those playing games with the rules (if you are) keep it clean.

OLDTIMER, keep contributing.

Complainers, do something about whatever your complaint is all about.

Swimmers, hopefully nobody will be cheated out of a fair chance.

Clubs and coaches, federation and parents, get your acts together.

See yall at the next meet. I will be the bright and cheery one.
