Wow...the invective...from what I'm reading, who would have guessed that these were the writings of and about a professional journalist?

Oh...that's right...we're not really dealing with that, are we?

For all the times Joey Dauben has posted a "Just wait, I'm workin' on somethin' BIG" message, you'd think that the ECP would be chock-full of hard-hitting reports of who's zoomin' who.

But it's not.

How many of these stories of corruption and scandal will ever materialize? I don't know. I'm still waiting.

Instead, we get articles about Joey's freakin' flag-football game, played in the middle of nowhere. We get stories about what his acquaintances are posting on an online forum. Oh, and we get a listing of who's been arrested.

YAWN!

On the plus side, Joey's kind of fun to read. He adds a bit of that Weekly World News quality to the ECP. This helps jazz up the rest of the paper, which is pretty consistent from week to week (Hagin hates liberals; the churches admonish us to find God; the garden guy tells us how to plant begonias; and there are a ton of mobile homes for sale).
