I did get the feeling that John was telling Stephan that he would look out for his children..not just tell them what a great man their father had been..but honestly look out for them. Perhaps to the point of marrying the princess himself, if Stephan died and made her his children's guardian? I think John really cares about children. If I do another week of QOTD someday, I'll do John and his interactions with kids. He is SO good with them, so sad that his nature prevented him from having his own.
