In Haunted Soldier, at one point Lord John is writing this letter to Jamie but cannot send it to him, referring to "the enormity of what had happened between them at their last meeting?" (pg.244 Part II) at Helwater. I have read and reread The Outlander Series and for the life of me cannot recall what it is that angered them so much that LJG would feel he could not "talk" to Jamie. If someone could please clear this up for me I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I guess it would be a good time to post the timelines of the stories here. Hellfire April 1757 Private Matter June-Aug 1757 Succubus Oct 1757 BOB Spring 1758 and Scottish Prisoner (not written yet) should cover 1758 to ?
