Subject: Coincidence, or not?

Toward the end of "Haunted Soldier", Oswald's full name is revealed to be "Mortimer Montmorency Oswald" (p. 286 of HAND OF DEVILS). Now, we know from DRAGONFLY (when Claire and Jamie are discussing baby names) that Claire's father's middle name was Montmorency. Is that a coincidence, or is Diana dropping a subtle hint about Claire's ancestry? What do you think?

I asked about this on Compuserve and her response was "I don't know, but it's an intriguing thought!" Which is kind of a non-answer, in my opinion. To me, it seems pretty unlikely that it is a coincidence. Am I reading too much into this?
