  • I always thought that Harry was sent to Ardsmuir for the same reason he got the scar, which was in a duel. Lady Lucinda explains to John in Hellfire Club that Harry got the scar when he challenged his colonel over cheating at cards when he was too drunk to be silent on the matter. In Voyager when Harry hands over command to John, John notes the scar on his face and reminds himself that it was a "memento of the scandalous duel that had sent him into exile at Ardsmuir".
