Subject: I have to think that since letting the wrong person know he was interested could lead to a death sentence, that John would have to be very VERY careful. I doubt he gets as much as I would hope for him. Look what happened to him with just a breath of scandal in the George Everett affair. We don't even know for sure what happened but we do know whatever it was got him banished to Ardsmuir. It could have been the kiss of death for his career if not for Hal, don't you think? I wouldn't think this would allow him to live as he would like or to get as much sex as someone in an established "safe" relationship would have. I think he is always looking for that long term loving relationship. That is what I meant by a little bit of what he had with Hector.
