Subject: Tom also went with John when he visited his brother's house and to return the sword. Their conversation along the way about the rats in the thatch on the way was very telling. Tom's worry about the people they were going to see (the rats that came down and ate the faces off babies in their cradles) and John reassuring him that they could handle themselves (not being babies, but sophisticated London gentlemen), brilliant writing! Tom is a very good spy in his own right and I love seeing Lord John using him quite a bit in that capacity as their friendship and trust grows.
In reply to: Karen 's message, "I stand corrected then - because I was under that impression myself. I completely forgot about Tom being the one who saw Jamie leave that note in BOTB. Still, Tom doesn't have any idea who Jamie really is or why Lord John would care about him." on 16:24:31 12/13/07 Thu
