  - He ain't heavy . . . He's my bro-theeer! I can see where John's hesitation comes from though, and why he needs his "confessor" to figure it all out. He is taking another risk for Percy's sake as well as his own honor's. If caught swapping bodies he and the family will face social death. The conventional thing to do would be to turn his back and never mention it again but he can't. Saying it outloud confirms what he already knew was the right thing to do.
