Yes. Do I recall that DG said her "one-word summation" for this book was "Honor"? I think it's so interesting that reader responses to John are so polarized (thinking of the discussion still going on over on the BB); some see him as utterly without honor, and some as, like Jamie, constantly seeking the path of honor, and acting accordingly, even to his own emotional detriment at times. - I think John, and we by reading of him, are learning just what honor means to these men and to ourselves. I am enjoying 'watching John grow' as we get to compare him now and then in greater detail. - The people who do not see John as honorable have obviously not read the Lord John books at all. One of them I know for sure has not re-read any of the books, so can only have the most superficial understanding of John, his character, and his relationships with Jamie, Claire, or Bree.
