  • Well, Jamie did agree to her terms in exchange for the letter. He WOULD go thru with it, he is an *honorable* man, ye ken? (*bg*) Actually, I don't think Jamie gave her a second thought before all of this. But, when he was in the room with her and after the deed he did stay the remainder of the night.     • Well, I never thought he loved her -- he was caught in her web of deception and threats. But Claire and Bree and John wondered ... maybe Lord and Lady Dunsany, too, wondered. • OK - Diana said on CompuServe that Jamie didn't leave Geneva without any feelings. Well, what kind of feeling(s) did he leave her with?   • I think he describes them in that scene- pity, regret, a little bit of liking. He had a small amount of admiration for her. I can see how their encounter might have left him with some feeling of fondness- and yet he still resented her blackmail and the terrible position she put him in. I think it is complex.   • I have not read any of the LJ books and don't plan to. However, I think I can contribute to this one :-). The whole Geneva storyline is one that I never really liked.       • Wow, the last thing I want to come across as is vehement. I typically run through all the boards just to see what's up. This particular quote & Gwen's comment caught my eye. We've discussed Geneva at length on the other boards. The question was posed as to whether or not Jamie loved Geneva, and based on other readings, I felt that I could offer some answers. I only mentioned about not reading LJG because I could not discuss anything in realtion to his books, just from the Outlander series. I apologize if it came across as vehement.         • Please understand that it is difficult in writing to express tone, I guess. All I wanted ot say is that I was not going to read the LJ series-that's all. I most certainly did not wish to come across as rude about. If someone responded to my comment with something from Brotherhood of the Blade, I would not be able toanswer it, so that's why I mentioned that I didn't read the book.             • Thank you! I was feeling really bad about this. Truth is, I have no time to read anything anymore! I hear about everyone here who does so many re-reads, and honeslty, I have gotten through only once. I haven't yet finished ABOSAA. I am now in a state of panick becasue next week is Thanksgiving and I have no idea how I'm going to get everything done! Thank you, Olender, you made me feel better :-). I really can't add anything to these discussions because I have not read the series. However, I did think I could answer Gwen's question. I enjoyed seeing your comments here and I'm glad that you added them. Count me in with those who didn't hear your words as vehement. I don't think that you needed to have read any of the LJG books to address Gwen's question, and whether you've read them or ever plan to read them has nothing to do with visiting this board. I hope you'll feel free to chime in whenever you'd like to add your 2 cents to a discussion. Everyone has something to contribute. This place would be dull if no one ever spoke up, eh?
