Subject: I agree! I love the women as they are portrayed. I love also how she uses them to help us understand the men in their lives. Getting to know Minnie, I felt I knew Hal even better.
In reply to: Jane 's message, "I love the female characters in the Lord John books! Nessie and Minnie are my favorites but Olivia, Benedicta, and Lady Joffrey are great too. Isobel and her mother..well, they were grieving in this one, so maybe they are more naturally spunky when they aren't. After all Geneva was, she was also a selfish, spoiled, black mailing little... I think John is great with women, I like the way he interacts with them. This week should be fun!" on 18:26:28 10/06/07 Sat
