Oh wow! Can DG write or what? Loved the book! Stunningly real and so beautifully done. Sorry, no theme for me this week, just random pieces that totally delighted my mind. *G* I’ll leave the deeper issues for some one else as I’m still happily reeling over all of those.

The following quote is taken from Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade by Diana Gabaldon, chapter 1, All in the Family. Copyright (c) 2007 by Diana Gabaldon. All rights reserved.

The conversation continued, but now as a minuet of manners, precise and delicate. And as a courting couple might exchange worlds of meaning with a touch, so they did the same, with no touch at all, their unspoken conversation flowing unhindered beneath the disguise of routine courtesies.

What a wonderful description! Also... a sharp warning to pay close attention. Which brings on a question... How well can you communicate without speaking? Or is this an out-dated art for most?
