Subject: I agree. I do think Percy was more willing to take emotional risk. I felt like it was John's honour and integrity which kept him from being able to tell or show Percy that he loved him, because he loves Jaime and feels it as a sort of betrayal to himself- or even Hector (before he and Percy have a chance to...hrmph....he asks Hector if he minds). John is so loyal, this must be a burnden for him at times.
In reply to: teddie 's message, "I love these tender moments between Lord John and Percy, all the sadder when learning that John does indeed love Percy. I have always loved Lord John, but this book brings his character out more than ever. I find myself frequently comparing his character to that of Jamie's...both men of honesty, honor, passion, courage, humor...I am so hosed!" on 05:36:08 09/07/07 Fri
