I'd just ask for the manager as soon as I got any crap.

Of course, I'm also crafty enough to go start digging around to figure out who the franchise owner is, or the regional sales director, or just start sending complaints to corporate.

But I'm kind of petty that way. Note that I come from a line of people that will happily start a lifetime ban against corporations for even the slightest greivance (we still won't buy gas from Texaco because some attendant wouldn't let my grandfather loiter during a rainstorm while he was hitchhiking during the great depression. That was what, 70 years ago?)
