A total of eight people (including myself) went into downtown Boise to enjoy a night out. I had taken the liberty of picking the restaurant, and now I shall never again be trusted to pick a dining establishment. Our waitress took 15 minutes to approach our table to take drink orders. She took drink orders from only three people, took dinner orders from the rest of us, and then hurried off even though the previous patron's open bill was still sitting on our table (it would remain there for the entire evening). It took another 20 minutes to get her attention so the rest of us could order drinks. She brought us dirty glasses and silverware and served our appetizers at the same time she brought 7 of the 8 meals we had ordered. Our 8th guest was forced to sit and wait for her food as it "wasn't ready yet" (although she'd only ordered a salad). The portions were insanely small and DRY! My fries were undercooked, my husband's macaroni and cheese had been sitting under a heat lamp for at least a half-hour, and overall we were rather bummed. The waitress never bothered to come refill our glasses and would only ask how everything tasted as she rushed past our table (giving us absolutely no time to answer). Our total bill came to about $72, and as the food and service were horrible, we naturally left the waitress a mediocre tip ($11). Finally, as we were leaving the restaurant, the waitress came running after us with bill in hand, demanding to know why we'd left a $7 tip on a check that totalled over $100. We were all stunned, and not by her inability to do basic math skills. Did she honestly want us to answer her question there on the balcony in front of at least 30 other diners? She eventually stormed inside, and we walked away completely pissed at the nerve of some people.
