Well, nepotism isn't necessarily "hire my friend/cousin/whatever", at least not in the genuine cases. It's more "my company is looking for someone with this set of job skills, perhaps you should send in a targeted resume".

Having worked in a company with nepotism practically spelled out in the mission statement (which was basically, all things being equal we hire family first, and if you two are both students, I guess you two must be equal) it tends to go really well or really badly. Either the person's a fuckup because they feel it's a free ride, or they work extra hard because they know someone stuck their neck out for them.

As for me sleeping my way to the top, I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. [grin]
