Mike, I can't tell if you are serious or not, but you kinda sound like a pussy. I'll tell you why SUV's should be banned.

1. They guzzle gas
2. You can't see down the road when your behind them
3. When they are behind you, you are blinded by headlights shining directly through your back window
4. No one uses them offroad. They can't even handle real offroad driving. You don't go offroad with an automatic transmission and weak axles
5. They take up too much space on city streets, where parking is limited (parallel parking)
6. People drive them like assholes because they feel strong in their big truck
7. People drive them like sports cars, despite their poor handling and aerodynamics at high speeds
8. They are dangerous to other drivers, due to their raised frames and heavy weight
9. SUV's tip over easily
10. The rest of the world is laughing at the United States SUV craze

Yep, there you go. The last thing we need is more soccer moms driving their SUV's around talking on cell phones. "I need an SUV because I have kids." My parents didn't drive a big piece of shit around when I was a kid. I'm still alive, and I didn't grow any shorter due to those "cramped conditions."

Some people need trucks, like construction workers, carpenters, landscapers, etc. They usually drive trucks owned by their companies. But average drivers don't need them, even if you might enjoy that extra storage space twice a year or so. Don't give into advertising so easily.
