Date Posted: 16:38:06 03/09/05 Wed In reply to: Grapenuts 's message, "Re: How'd it go?" on 12:20:48 03/08/05 Tue We hit Copper. 4 days = $80. Cha ching. I am a little ashamed I didn't hit the BC this year. Berthoud Pass used to be my home away from home, particularly Butler Gulch. A-Basin was my stompin' grounds before I tele'd, but they got WAY too expensive & I switched to the BC. I have fond memories of the Beach, Pali & the East Wall. You know, there is apparently some fine BC skiing on the dunes at Pictured Rox. Yo-Yoing the dunes. I left my bc skis out west but could maybe make my ski area skis work. You still have your avalanche beacon, right? I am seriously bummed to hear you canceled. You live in "da cities" right? that's a Loooong drive there camper. Hell, it's a loooong drive from Lansing. We'll see. It's something I'd regret not doing for sure. I see a one day/two night trip working pretty well... Split a motel room 6 ways, comendere Wapiti's movie camera, and voila - we have a trip again. I have 3/25 - 3/27 avaliable. I taked to a buddy today that says there is ~24" of ice on Little Bay de Noc (Escanaba), but it goes quick when the temps hit 50. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
