You know, you have never attempted a throw down with me yet, and the ACA comment was to encourage a throw down. As far as the '88 Volvo, that isn't necessarily true. I can only get to some campsites with a Jeep (especially at the winter coyote camps), and you can pull a 14' RIB from the waters of Lake Michigan from a boat landing, but can you pull it from the waters at a sandy beach littered with rocks. The Jeep capability compared to the Volvo is much different than the kayak comparisons. And the Jeep was probably cheaper. That said, your point is well taken. And we can agree that heart and character are the key. All this from a recommendation about where to buy a boat??
