WAAS enabled GPS means the GPS reciever can recieve and use WAAS signals to generate a location fix with higher precision than standard GPS. The WAAS system is being developed for use with the avaiation industry, but is still under development and testing (as far as I know). Basicly, fixed locations across the country recieve the GPS signals and compare where the GPS signal tells tells them they are to where they actually are. Based on any inaccuracies they work together and create a master correction signal that is transmitted alongside the GPS signals by the satellites. It will almost always give accurate poistions within 3 meters.

What do I win for being first to answer a quesiton?
