Which is better?" on 22:51:49 02/06/04 Fri Advantage for what? I think a canoe is an excellent river and chain-o-lakes transportation vehicle. The Kayak is excellent for open water. Canoes are more versitle in my opinion, but they are not necessarily built for rough seas for high class rapids. But the canoe can haul a lot of gear. Just my opinion.
