Hi, all. I just want to apologize to anyone who's been having trouble with another page trying to load and hanging up your computer while you're accessing this one--and for taking so long to fix the problem. At first I thought the problem was with the message board itself (and I was hoping the administrators would solve it for us!), but I investigated it more thoroughly and, after a lot of hunting, found the cause: A couple of spammers had hidden some malicious HTML coding in their messages. I'm happy to report that the problem is fixed!

To prevent this from happening again in the future, I basically had two options: either (1) to approve all messages individually before they can be posted or (2) to disallow the use of HTML coding in messages. Since I'm not able to monitor the board continuously and I think most people would prefer to see their postings appear immediately to know that the board is functioning properly, while very few of you sincere posters use HTML in your messages anyway, I figured disallowing HTML would be the best solution. (But please let me know if you'd rather I do it the other way. If several of you prefer to have your postings approved and don't mind waiting for them to appear, I would consider using that method.)

What this means is that you won't be able to use formatting codes like italics or bold or to include images or clickable links in your messages. However, if you need to post a photo or clickable link on the board, please send me the link in an e-mail, and I'll be glad to post it for you.

Hope this makes using the board a more enjoyable experience for everyone. OK, now where is everybody? Let's chat! :-)
