i forgot to mention this a LONG time ago - i found online a movie production firm called cloud 9. they made a movie called 'return to treasure island' a couple of years back. does anyone (australian perhaps?) know how to get a copy? some of the actors (jim hawkins) sound american. brief synopsis: jim is a shipman, its the time of the Revolution(too late, it seems, for them all to still be alive and young?) and ljs has a daughter but no wife. paths cross again, blah blah blah... jim gets together with ljs's daughter and they move to america... you can watch the trailer and check it out at http://www.entercloud9.com/treasureisland/index.html enjoy!

Looks interesting! Unfortunately, their website's not very informative as far as where to get the movie, when it was released, or even names of cast and crew! But I believe it's this one from 1996, which is apparently a joint German/New Zealand effort:

us.imdb.com/Title?0196901

Maybe if you e-mail this Cloud 9 group (webadmin@entercloud9.com), they will be able to tell you how to get a copy. Let us know!
