In reply to: Wendy Gunther 's message, "hatter's castle" on 08:16:11 06/21/01 Thu

Caught "Jamaica Inn" on TV and immediately recognized the star from a movie I'd seen as a child about a "mad hatter." Learned his name, Robert Newton and after searching Newton on the Web I learned the name of the memorable film is "Hatter's Castle." Wendy, I'm sure you must have been watching "The Million Dolllar" movie which used to air great classics for free which we must now pay for on AMC. (Although, in my opinion, AMC's offerings are very limited.) I'll gladly join your movement to get "Hatter's Castle" aired on AMC. What a treat! What a performance by Newton!

I have been trying to locate information about Robert Newton because I also want to see the film Hatters Castle.
It was brilliant and brings back memories of a happy childhood fed on a diet of quality films.
