D'rian and Deleria moved up towards the 'trouble spot' where masses of Ghazard were accumulating. They still fought back to back, fending off the threats to the otherwise occupied riders in the near vicinity.

Keira stood shakily, a wave of dizziness sweeping through her and threatening to topple her over. Despite that, she wouldn't let the Lairleader come near. It was a paradox of her mind- she didn't trust Mortelia, the Ghazard... herself- and yet the Sect told her that the riders were too close for comfort. "I'm sorry..." she gasped out, backing away slowly, shaking her head.

Mortelia stepped back, pulling the onyx-hued blade out as she did so. It shone dully under the sticky covering of blood, and a smirk twisted at the corners of her lips. The smile didn't reach her eyes.

M'kar raised his head. If his eyes were before alight with the need to kill, the search for vengeance, they blazed now. With a scream of rage and pain that sent shivers down the spines of the surrounding combatants, he hurtled through the battle, throwing himself to his knees, tossing the sticky blade aside. "No..." he murmured in a bare whisper, gathering up Tilana, pressing his hands to the wound in an attempt to staunch the flow of blood. "Dear gods, no. Tilana... Tilana..."
