Eight Brazilian convicts die in escape attempt: This is about 87 prisoners in a brazilian penetentry who dug a 390ft tunnel to escape. They say eight of the 87 died when the tunnel collapsed. but 4 have been cpatured and 31 are being sought.
Inspecters free 849 in forced labor: This article is about some government inspecters that found a coffe farm in Barrerias Brazil and freed some 849 "slave workers". 70 or more of the workers were ill.

Worlds Largest oil rig sinks in Atlantic:: I think this is important because this oil spill is extremely harmful to wildlife and the enviorment.
At least 36 dead in Brazilian mudslide:: this is important because there were casulaties and it was a natural disaster.
Brazil's Golden Lions make a come back:: seems important beacuse its about an "extremely" endagered species who's making a mass comeback in large numbers.
