You are a year older than when I started this. Not too much into reading (my fault), but doing short division in your head. And you're Mommy's Little Critical Thinker, asking "How do you know?" and "Where did you read that?" and "How do they know?" to the point that I thoroughly vet my assertions. Every. Single. One.

You are tall, lean, hard to fit in a pair of jeans. The long enough ones fall right off your butt. Those that will stay up leave a three inch gap to your ankle bone. Thank goodness the short season has arrived, because unless you get a little stockier, your pant legs will be too short to bend your knees.

And, no doubt, by the time the long pants stay up, they will be too short. Like the rose in The Little Prince, you are unique in all the world.

Oh, and just between us? You rock the highwaters.
