] Date Posted: 21:25:23 02/12/04 Thu I am in utter chaos. What has elections to do with cricket? Why is it so, that whenever there is an Indo-Pak cricket tour, our babus meddle with it and worsen the whole situation? Are they afraid of the bats of Sachin and Dravid, that may batter the coverage that the media otherwise gives them? Or are they scared of the magic spells that our bowlers may bowl, which will leave their election rallies with little or no audience? Getting ever more imaginitive, have they come to believe that the fiery quotes of Sourav, will leave behind no space for their mangy utterances in the newspapers? At the most, if the dates of elections and cricket coincide, the voter-turnout may be drastically low(doesn't that show, which among the two, do people prefer?). But the problem can always be solved by altering the dates. So what haunts the impossible heads of our netas? - Hemant Krishna V. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
