Date Posted: 14:11:46 02/19/04 Thu In reply to: Ashton 's message, "Re: ~*~*the sky grew very dark, very quickly.*~*~" on 19:49:37 02/18/04 Wed ~+~*sighed.*~+~ my sister and I are both children of Ephsidel. nobody from that place ever really adapted to living in this world after living in the other one. after the Spirits of this generation were formed, my sister became rather violent, and came here. she stayed here as a guardian for a long time- as it gave her refuge, as she could sit in the towers and not have to bother with the Spirits. then she got to thinking- she knew how to access the Draining Sphere, which would kill all of the souls in the lake- thus making every Spirit extinct. so, i began to seek a way to stop her. i had ended up on the Saharian Moon System, where i learned of a very interesting legend. it said that there were 14 stones there, created by the ancient Gods to grant wishes to people. however, that power was abused, and so they were split up- and hidden, in the souls of people worthy of holding them. ~+~*he smiled a bit.*~+~ however, they still had the power to grant wishes if they were all gathered. so, i set out on a journey to gather these stones with a friend of mine. he, uh, sort of turned on me, and i ended up killing him- but he was my best friend. i could not let him die, so i revived him by repairing his body with mechanical parts to make up for what could not be saved. then i called on the Lesser Blue Spirits to give him life. the side effect of this is the coils that form in the eyes- and so was born the first Sentinel. it was him that actually went out and got others, and eventually, i had a rather large army, and we took over one of the moons. then, the search began. in order to retrieve a stone, you must remove it from the soul of the bearrer whilest he is between the worlds of life and death- in other words, beaten to a bloody pulp but still breathing. i got most of the stones this way, but it was after the first one that i lost my mind- it was about power from that point on. ~+~*he pointed to Psyke.*~+~ THIS one was the bearrer for one of the Stones, still is. the one that he carries was the only one to have ever left the moon system, by complete luck, you see. the stones are passed down within a single family until the blood line ends. when one bearrer dies, it goes to their eldest kin, and then to the next eldest after that. one of the blood lines came to an end while one of his ancestors was present in the Moon System, and that ancestor inherited it before he returned home. during the slaughter over the races, it passed between all of his siblings, and finally to him. but he had the one that i needed last, so i could not actually kill him to take the stone. he had to be killed during the ceremony to cast the wish- where i would have died as well. my wish was quite simply to kill my sister. ~+~*he pointed to Harmony.*~+~ she was in the forest with the fae prince, and neither of them were in a particularly light-hearted mood, so one of my followers..... Zandrae, i believe his name was, ended up tricking them both into following him into the void where my Sentinels were made. there were many Lesser Blue Spirits there who were carrying a mild body and mind modification poison, the side effect to which is the purple eyes that most Sentinels have. she got one or two doses before they ended up finding the Gate Spell out of the pool, so her eyes are violet. ~+~*he yawned.*~+~ anyways, somewhere along the way two of their friends vanished, and i made a deal. there were two traveling parties there at the time, and both were missing one person. so, in exchange for my aid, they would have to kill me if the wish did not take care of that for me. they ended up killing me, or something- my memories of those events are rather unclear. so, thats what happened with those two. ~+~*he stood back up.*~+~ so, in the end, the Gods all decided to release their grasp on the Dragon Stones and let them go to whom they wanted. the Spirit Stone is the only one that did not get a new bearrer, and that is because i never DID kill Psyke, so he still has his. i think Cye has one too- it feels like he does from here, anyways. i checked up on some of them- one ended up in the Demon Worlds, in a young lady in the Light Kingdom. i think two ended up in the Elanian world, one in the Elorian world, one stayed in the Moon System, and a few went to other places further away. one other one did end up going to the Faeries, and i think one went to the Dragon Sanctuary. one should be here, somewhere too. ~+~*he smiled.*~+~ its nice to think for myself again..... i looked into that as well. there was a LONG history behind those Stones, and it turns out that you carry the curse of that particular God if you take one by force. the one i got cursed by? ooohhh, what was his name...... nevermind that. anyways, you will be happy to know that Kaori and Remeia are living rather happily together- they already passed into the Spirit Realm. Myuure-na is indeed NOT dead, but living somewhere with a few other surviving Sentinels from the origional 20 or so that we had. Faeren is.... here, somewhere. i do not know the details. ~+~*he flopped down into the grass with a yawn.*~+~ .....on the plus side? i get to work with Anubis and the other neutrals...... its going to be rather entertaining.
