Zera smiled to Alucard.*~+~ Zera- gladly, but I have some other issues to work out before I am able to do so. ~+~*you suddenly fealt something..... off. both elf maidens both looked up, and tilted their heads to the side. the rest of the Gryphons had already retreated to the Pillar, and the Amarian's had long since vanished from sight. it fealt as though somebody was watching you.*~+~ Akira- don't worry about that...... its the Night Hawk, it shouldnt bother us...... it cant get into the city directly, anyways.... ~+~*Night Hawk- that sounded familiar. you suddenly had memories of the massive black phoenix that had appeared at the bar- its shadow, if you remembered correctly. you saw a small dark halo form above you, and then a black bolt of lightning struk Zera. Akira did not seem surprised. Zera's eyes slowly lost all life, and her muscles went limp- you were not sure what was keeping her up. Akira glanced at you, stopping any move to help her. Zera began to speak, her voice rather dead and monotone.*~+~ Zera- you killed my shadow, and i will never forgive you for that. the time will come when you will have to face me in battle. today is not that time. i am your final Trial.... you are not ready to face me. honestly, i doubt you ever will be. one of my lesser siblings was able to send your world onto the brink of destruction- had your Goddess not survived, all would have been lost for you. but please, know this. i am not your foe- i never was. i hold nothing against you, save for the slaying of my shadow, which was not your fault. we, the chosen children of Chaos, were created for one very specific purpose. we eleminate the worlds that should not be- yours is one such world. i can not fight my fate, nor can you. however, thus far, fate has not seen your world ready to perish. i look forward to seeing you in the future..... possibly in a time of peace. also know that i have a message for you. for one of you in particular. i believe the name was Cye? it is a little known fact that we, the children as a whole, work closely with the spirits to uphold all balance of light and darkness. several of the spirits in Limbo have asked me to deliver a message to you concerning something you must do in the future. they have told me to relay the following; "The Spirits in Baaj are aware that you will be coming. They know what you will be doing there, and they know when you are to go. There are some there that will try to add the Spirit of Truth to their collection, while others will work about you to drive those away. They know the purpose of your visit. They tell you also to make sure that nothing else finds out- That there are some that are beginning to sense that something will happen. No mortal, nor the other that you will be going to find, must know." they tell me that you will understand this. i pray that they are correct- for i understand it, and i am saddened that this task was left upon a Spirit of the light realms, as well as a mortal. please forgive my intrusion, i will not linger here longer than i must. ~+~*Zera jerked forward a bit, as the color restored to her eyes and she blinked off a slight wave of dizzyness. Akira glanced at you and sighed.*~+~ Akira- please understand- the 13 'Children' of Chaos, your Trials, were all taken from creatures already living. the Night Hawk was a God in Ephsidel, who survived the passing of his people. as a God, he can choose an Avatar to work with him- more specifically, he can choose up to 173 Avatars, more than any other god alive to date. Zera is his primary Avatar, as she was the child of one of his closest friends, and the only one not directly linked to a position of guardianship, nor protected by some other power. Zera- its not so bad, really. they come off in all of the legends as being rather evil and destructive, but i know---knew--- all 13 of them. they are actually quite pleasant. Lief was always violent because of your relationships with his children. he was trying to protect us.... that was all. that was why he agreed to go to the Sanctuary in the end.
